I didn’t drink ayahuasca in Peru.
“Whaaaat, you were right there and didn’t try it ?!” Correct.
I had opportunities to experience the brew. There were many retreats around and friend’s had their shaman recommendations. It didn’t feel right for me (yet). I believe in the spiritual medicine. I also believe in the timing of things, especially with the use of intense psychedelics like ayahuasca. I was going thru transitions of my own and digging up deeply rooted emotions at the time and I wasn’t ready for the further mind realizations / honest truths / possibly resurfaced traumas ayahuasca could bring. I don’t think one should throw themselves into a retreat experience unless they feel ready to seek answers and are fully prepared to work -from then on- with what they find. I’d love to try it in the future.
I’m happy with my decision and I've painted this medicine man mandala out of love for my experience, drinking the brew or not. You can see Grandfather (shaman) in many forms around the painting. Subtle changes. We also have the eye at the top paired with the eye tattooed on my arm. Fibonacci ammonite corners cleanse the toxic energy. Jungle vibes. I love you! Trust yourself, please don’t feel environmental pressures just because you’re in the ~place of a lifetime~ to do such n such. Be safe with psychedelics.
Medicine Man Mandala (30x40 in) is sold. Thank you.
